Well, it isn’t nicknamed “Sin City” for nothing. Las Vegas, Nevada is known for its all-night partying, adult shows, casinos and their famous slogan, “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.” Not exactly a family-friendly destination, right?

Wrong. Las Vegas might not be your first choice for a vacation destination for your family, but there really are things for kids to do and plenty of shows for them to see. Here are just a few:

Blue Man Group: This wild and crazy blue-headed group puts on a family friendly show that you and the kids will never forget. The Blue Man Group is a performance art group that uses vivid colors, intense vibrations, and booming sounds. It started in 1991 and is often jam-packed, so make sure you get your tickets early.

Circus Circus: The Circus Circus hotel, located on the Vegas strip, has free shows with jugglers, clowns, trapeze artists throughout the day from 11 a.m. to midnight and kids of all ages love the circus. It’s a great, affordable way to do something that the kids are going to love, again and again.

Jabbawockeez: Kids love to dance, so bring them to see the Jabbawockeez hip-hop dance crew at the MGM Grand. The Jabbawockeez auditioned and ultimately won the show America’s Best Dance Crew.

Piff the Magic Dragon: After appearing on Season 10 of NBC’s America’s Got Talent, Piff the Magic Dragon got his own Vegas show. He’s played to audiences all over the world and now he can play for you and your family. You’ll love this fun, creative one-hour magic show, where Piff’s sidekick, Mr Piffles, gets shot out of a cannon!

Tournament of Kings: What child doesn’t love pretending that he’s the king! The Tournament of Kings at the Excalibur is a blast to watch with your children. It includes Merlin and a court jester, jousting and sword fighting, racing and gladiator combat.

Gregory Popovich’s Comedy Pet Theatre: Everyone loves pets and kids of all ages love this comedy pet theater at Planet Hollywood which includes cats, dogs, doves, parrots and other animals act as Popovich’s assistants and participants. This isn’t a ‘ruff’ show to watch and you’ll think it’s just purrrfect!
