When you’re visiting Amsterdam and you’re looking for a great cup of coffee, ask for the nearest café. If you sit down at a coffee shop, you’ll be sitting in a venue where you can select from a menu of cannabis products – you know, weed.

Amsterdam is home to hundreds of coffee shops where those who want to enjoy some mary jane will fit right in and not get into trouble. Here are some of the best:

Barney’s, which has won multiple “High Times Cup” awards, has a variety of musical events you can enjoy while you sit back and relax. There is a menu of food to choose from and a variety of souvenir merchandise you can purchase. Barney’s is located in a 500-year-old landmark building on Haarlemmerstraat, where it all started 23 years ago.

The Bluebird coffee shop is slightly pricier than the other coffee shops. The restaurant is located near the Red Light District and is popular with backpackers.  There are stools at the counter as well as comfortable couches so you can sit down. The psychedelic décor is a throwback to the Amsterdam’s hippy movement. There are vapes and other smoking accessories available as well.

Abraxas is another coffee shop that also is home to The Abraxas Seed Bank, which was established in Amsterdam in 2008. According to the Abraxas website, the name is derived from a 1961 classic children’s story; The Little Witch by Otfried Preußler (1961). Their retail shop offers gifts, seeds, t-shirts, hemp and smoking accessories.

There’s a lot of name dropping going on at the Green House, because there have been a lot of celebrities passing through the doors, including Miley Cyrus, Snoop Dogg, Richard Branson, Lil Wayne and more. Who knows what they did, but all you need to know is that Green House is a coffee house that serves more than coffee. They are also one of the few coffee houses that have menus on their websites. For example, you can enjoy a croquet monsieur, which is a ham and cheese with a Bechamel sauce, or how about eating a comforting BLT sandwich, falafel wrap or steak sandwich? This brings the idea of munchies to a whole new level.

Amsterdam is one beautiful country, and has so much more to tour when you’re not in the coffeehouses. Check out the buildings that are propped up on 11 million wooden poles. When it comes to the history of Amsterdam, visiting the Anne Frank Museum is a must-see. Vincent Van Gogh and his Starry Night painting can be seen here and you must stop and have a Heinie at the Heineken factory.
