Giraffe manor was established in 1932 by a private family. In 2009, the manor was turned into a boutique hotel for travelers. As soon as travelers enter the hotel, they are welcomed by the 1930 charm that still exists. There are many different styles of rooms for guests to choose from, which are located in the Manor as well as the Garden Manor. While guests can choose to stay one night, most choose to stay a minimum of one week to explore all there is to see here.

The Manor is owned and operated by the Safari Collection, a safari specialist tour operator. Some of the more fun and exciting things guests can do when staying at Giraffe Manor include enjoying afternoon tea on the terrace, visiting the Matbronze Art Gallery, taking guided tours around the sanctuary, meeting baby elephants and eating breakfast with a giraffe.

Eating Breakfast with a Giraffe!

One of the many highlights that come when staying in Giraffe Manor is the ability to eat breakfast with a giraffe. This exceptional experience takes place in the Sun Room dining area. The giraffes know when breakfast is served and accordingly walk up to the large accommodating windows and stick their long necks in for a better view. They will bat their long eyelashes while using their soulful eyes to encourage guests to feed them breakfast.

For the most part, giraffes eat plants, fruits and vegetables. Guests will be given instructions on the type of breakfast foods they can share with the giraffes.
