Nazca Lines

The Nazca Lines refer to pictures that were drawn by the Nazca culture, of which there are thousands. These geoglyphs were made more than 10,000 years ago, in a territory where many different cultures were to arise, i.e. Nazca, Paracas. Studies have been done on the Lines and say they’re a perfect creation, even today, which is still not completely understood. The over 800 animal figures are an impressive sight and include condors, cranes, parrots, hummingbirds, monkeys and spiders. Some of the Lines can only be seen from high above, which is why some people believe that aliens are connected to the reason behind creating the Lines.

The Nazca Lines are situated in a dry coastal area and cover 170 square miles. The Lines are actually scratched into the ground, and show animals from the natural earth as well as creatures that are the apparent creation of the human imagination.
