So of course as always a last minute decision for a special anniversary in the prime season for Gurney’s Resort and all I could think of was call Jody. So I did and of course she reacted immediately and booked my two night, three day runaway. When we arrived we were greeted with a Happy Anniversary your travel agent called and of course your room with a view is ready. We had been here before and the room we had had a view of some gardens and a long walk to the beach. We were taken to the front building and were amazed with our room. Beautiful giant picture window facing the ocean where you could hear the waves crashing. A new room with a huge bed, beautiful living room, bathroom and best of all an outside balcony with two lounge chairs and a table. In our room was a chilled bottle of champagne with a beautiful note –Happy Anniversary! We hope you enjoy your stay with us! All I could think of was Jody pulled it off again, doing the impossible in a moment. From our room we had one stairway down to the beach with full waitress service (food and drinks), lovely umbrellas and comfy chairs. We ate, we drank, and we swam. Exactly the perfect runaway for busy working people. It felt like we were on a different island. We never had to leave the resort, everything we needed was right there. The restaurants were accommodating and the food was delicious, breakfast, lunch and dinners. Every day was a beach day and I thank you Jody for always making sure we have exactly what we need. Best runaway ever.
