Some of the things San Francisco is more well-known for? The Golden Gate Bridge, cable cars, its Chinatown district, rolling hills, fog, sourdough bread, fresh seafood, and its wharfs. Every year millions of people make it a goal to visit this historic city by the bay, and visiting wharfs in the area are definitely on their to do list. There’s always bustling energy when visiting wharfs, which is attributed to the variety of visitors and street performers, as well as the multiple things to see and do
The San Francisco Embarcadero
The Embarcadero in San Francisco runs along the waterfront, starting at the Bay Bridge and ending at Pier 39 (this is where the San Francisco Wharf begins). While the area is full of attractions to see and fun things to do, the area is also known as a gourmet hotspot and accordingly is full of the most wonderful aromas.
The Monterey Wharf vs the San Francisco Wharf
Both the Monterey Wharf and the San Francisco Wharf offer visitors a variety of things to do – unique shopping prospects, exceptional eating opportunities, whale watching ventures, glass bottom boat ventures, deep sea fishing, live entertainment, enjoying the beautiful San Francisco views. Because the Monterey Wharf is about a 2 ½ hour drive south from the San Francisco Wharf, it’s a good idea for visitors to plan at least a full day of activities at each wharf.
The San Francisco Fisherman’s Wharf.
The end of Pier 39 marks the beginning of the San Francisco Fisherman’s Wharf, and is located in downtown San Francisco. Also commonly known as the San Francisco Wharf and the Fisherman’s Wharf, this is one of San Francisco’s most popular attractions, as there’s something for every age to do when visiting this top San Francisco attraction.
